Hi,
I just installed Writer on a fresh local J!2.5 using quickstart
I thought I could find every modules and images needed to show the same as your demo
such is not the case unfortunately. Maybe I missed something ?
I'd like to prepare my website on your demo basis, that is with items at the right side with images and full imag shown on the frontpage.
Can you give me a link where I can find any explanation ?
Regards

Hi,
thanks. I will inform developers.
But are you sure that you want to use Joomla 2.5 - its support will end soon, in December 2014.
It's worth to build a website for 3 months? maybe start with Joomla 3.3+ right now.

Hi Oscar,
as far as I could read about Joomla 3, it was still not advised to install it on production website.
No problem to make a new fresh install on J3 if that has changed.
thanks

Are you joking? Maybe you have read old post from year or two years ago.
Please go this year on any Joomla!Day and learn more.

Maybe... I saw that some weeks ago.
It was probably an advise about a plugin or component not fully compatible - I misunderstood.
ok no problem for J!3 (and upgrade from 2.5 to 3 seems much easier than it was from 1.0 to 1.5)
I test the fresh install on a J!3 and let you know if I can find the same basis than your demo (which my customer found interresting)
That's the reason why I need to perform the same functionnality with customer images and texts..
Bye

Hi Oscar,
It's really not easy with Jomla 3 because all your configuration demo images for Writer is J2.5 based !
I can't find how to display something like your demo.
I installed Quickstart, but there's no Banner module for instance
Mod Newspro GK5 can't be displayed in modules admin. No way to find it, even after install and trying "Discover"
I can only install and find Mod Newspro GK4
I run under local install with PHP 5.4.10 (Mamp for mac)
Have you tried to install your Writer Quickstart on a local mac using mamp ?
What can you find after that ?
Thanks for any help, I'm totally lost.

we can not test on all available servers, mission impossible.
so please:
1) first test "naked" Joomla 3.3 and if will be ok, try to install one by one all modules, template etc.
2) or install on real hosting.
