Widget: GK News Blocks - Cache Problem

i have a Problem with one of the widgets: GK News Blocks.
it seems that the cache has a error. this widget never changes it´s first content. It does´t matter how long i set the cache time. If a change articles or change the widgets config it keeps its first content. The only way i can change the content: Delete the widget and setup a new widget.
The similar widget "GK News Gallery" doesn´t" have this error. It works perfekt with the same category slugs.
Do you have a patch or a quick workaround?
