How to add phone number to pop-up form

Hello,
I want to add to ask question in the template field STOREBOX,, phone number. "I added a field to the template view.html. I also changed components/com_virtuemart/views/askquestion/tmpl/mail_html_question.php and mail_raw_question_original.php. The number of mail but does not come only appears in the template.

I don't think it is that easy... Adding a field to form is one thing - making it to be processed and send later is completely other thing.
