Hi,
I want to remove this format from the URL --> index.php/component/k2/item/itemname and change it to index.php/itemname
How do I achieve this?

Hi,
1) Enable full SEF in Global configuration (you will be able to remove index.php)
2) Add this k2 category or K2 item (or both) into any menu as a menu item

Hi Oscar E,
I couldn't find SEF option in any of the tab under Global Configuration. What do I do now?

If those K2 items are added into menu, they shouldn't appear. I don't see your page, so I cannot say.

Hi,
I can't add them in a menu item because they are from the recent works title.
Sorry my bad, I should have added this before.
Is there a way I can still remove the categories/k2/ from the URL?
Regards!

More about this you will find on official K2 forum.
Joomla request assignation to menu if you want to use good&short URLs,
if not you have to use additional components like SH404.
Tip! You can also use hidden menu, it can also help.
