Suddenly the twitter feed does not work anymore. I have tried everything. But it does not work.

What am I doing wrong?

probably twitter changed something or you don't have new twits ?
try to use another source (url) of twitter account for test - if you will see something.

p.s.
on your place I'd use FB or instagram channel not Twitter.

I do not get it done. There is still "Any data to display."

How can I get this right?

1) Try twitter from other more popular than your source. If they will be published or not.
2) Try also other Twitter module. Check results.

if I fill in anything @username it does show it.

If was answer for my 1 or 2 question?

Primelabel, I see you have your Twitter feed showing on your home page, what was your solution? What "other" twitter module / extension did you end up using, cuz I know that's NOT the GK Social module functioning with Twitter, lol

I'm not sure what exactly twitter code we have there.
But one thing I'm sure - Joomla is like Lego bricks - it means that you can use others modules without asking us.
But before you will install something else, update your module: https://www.gavick.com/updates?task=upd ... 38&catid=6 - this update have 20 days almost.
Not always it's our fault... sometimes FB or Twitter change something in their API which can break all. They rule the world I saw it many times in past.

Thanks for the prompt response Oscar, unfortunately I'm already using version 1.2.5. I updated it anyway and still not working.

It means ..don't waste your energy anymore and use alternative Twitter module.
