Hi,
I would like to use the GK Title Overlay widget on a page, but I don't succeed. I can only make it work on the Homepage.
Please tell me, can it only be used on the Homepage and not on the other pages?

Hi,
Yes, this widget may be also used on other pages, you have to specify widget rules to decide on which pages should be displayed:

Yes, I am aware of that and have used these rules for all the other widgets I am using - but in the case with the Title Overlay and actually also with the News Show Pro, I can't make it work. I have used the widget rule: all pages just to check if it would appear on all pages - but it doesn't appear but on the Homepage..?

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website and back-end access via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it?

You can't display widgets in Mainbody widget area on pages other than frontpage, because on other pages - this area is reserved for the page/post's content.

Okay, sad to hear that. Could have been nice to use it for other purposes in the mainbody than on the Homepage.
Another thing, how do you enable newsletter subscription for the customers - and non-customers?

Now the Title Overlay widgets is disappeared again in the mainbody top and mainbody bottom area on the page:forfattere - even though they are there in the backend ??

Now widgets (product category and title overlay) are also gone in the mainbody on the Homepage - only thing shown is the title - I simply don't get it - I havn't chamged a thing - and sometimes they are shown - and sometimes like now - they have disappeared :-/

Maybe is something with cache settings, cache is set to 60 minutes by default in this widget, you can change it in widget settings.
Regarding the newsletters, you can use 3rd party plugins, i.e. MailPoet

Hi Piotr,
I need to write you again. Something is wrong with the widgets. They have disappeared again - without me doing anything. Is there a bug, that needs to be fixed?
The url is https://pivilhelm.dk/demo/ and as you can se - 4 widgets there are only shown by the title of them. On the page: forfattere 9 widgets is to be shown - but there are none
As info, I can tell you, that they have been there since last time I wrote you - but now all of a sudden - they have disappeared again, which certainly isn't satisfying. Can it be an update of a kind?

I have now checked the site in different browsers - and part of it seems to be a browser issue in the way that different widgets is shown in ex firefox and chrome but not opera. Even though shown in some browsers, still errors: text length that I have specified to 0 characters in each widgets specification - doesn't work. Enormous text length is shown as in here http://pivilhelm.dk/demo/ in the widgets NYT I SHOPPEN and NYT I BLOGGEN and here http://pivilhelm.dk/demo/forfattere/ in every 9 widgets..
Solution??

Please try to fix the following errors on your website:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=https ... ne&group=0
Then try to deactivate all plugins and check the issue again.

I have html validated the site - and deactivated and reactivated the plugins - but it doesn't help.
Still enormous text length in the widgets, even though I have set it to 0 characters. It did work last week - but as I have said earlier - now all of a sudden, it doesn't.
Another thing now, after having deactivated the woocommerce plugin, as you asked me to do - the browser cannot find the product-pages anymore. Clicking on a new product on the homepage, 'page not found' comes up. And the same thing by clicking categories, 'page not found' comes up. Even more frustrating now unfortunately

My webhost has upgradet to PHP 5.6. Might there be some javascripts or something else in your gavick theme, that needs to be updated?
Do you have a changelog-file from your update of 20/02/2015, Version: 1.4.2 ?
Errors summary:
Enormous text length in widgets showing despite set to 0 characters
Widgets not functioning in all browsers, ex opera
No product-pages to be found
No product:category-page to be found
