hello,
the mainbody_top modulposition makes problems. I want to use the sidebar and for that I need the mainbody_top modul. But quark doesnt show the modul - if I use mainbody i can see it.. but than I have no sidebar.
If you want to have a look: you can see the sidebar but not the modul... but its on.

Hello,
If you look into layouts/default.php file you will see that mainbody_top and mainbody_bottom module positions have few additional display limitations which can cause your issue:
You can try to remove the following part:
but please make sure that all looks correctly.

thanks, I switched the code as you wrote - you can see the result. The sidebar isn't on the right side.
I have two ways to get the same result but both do not work as I want.
1. I tput the modul on "mainbody_top" than you can see the result thats not good. (http://mehrwertproduct.de/ueber-mich) I need the sidebar at the right place - I tried every place manbody and mainbody_bottom ... but it doesnt work also
2. I make a single page with an article but than I have the automaticly an "header" and I dont want to have an header. take a look at the jpg.
What would you suggest me? Whats wrong? What can I do... thanks a lot for your help

Please try to put empty module on the header module position on your page - then the standard header should disappear.

thanks dziudek,
but if I need the mainbody_top position including the sidebar modul at another menu-item I will have the same problem again. I can make the little trick with the single article with the "about me" page but what can I do when I need the modulposition (mb_top) if I need a sidebar? thanks for help.

Hello,
I've tried to analyze your issue, but now I think that I just not understand what is your problem - please explain the problem better.
Additionally - are you using the latest version of the template? Because I was able to display the mainbody_top/bottom module positions without applying any changes in the latest version of the template.

Dear dziudek,
sorry for my late delayes answer - I do not use the latest version - and now my question is - how do I update this? If I click the download button I'm landing at the download section of the template. do I have to download the "gk_quark_J!3.zip" file and install it how?
thanks for help...

If you don't made custom changes in the template you can just install the new version package. In other case, you have to manually update files regarding your custom changes.

Hello - I was on vacation so my reply is delayed.
Regarding your message - could you explain this fragment:
Because if I understand you want to display a module next to the mainbody but not as a sidebar - it is impossible, because sidebar is an only place to display a module next to the mainbody.

dear dziudek,
ahhhhh sorry I thought I'm to stupid to send you a message.
here we go what I want:
I want to display a sidebarmodul at "mainbody position" or "mainbody_top" or "mainbody:bottom".... but it doesnt work....
the sidebar modul is not shown at this 3 positions but that is, what I want.
In my template it is also not possible to work with the "mainbody_top" and "mainbody:bottom" - modul place because they were not displayed...
thanks for help claudia
did I explain it better now?

You cannot display sidebar in the mainbody module positions - it is technically impossible. The only position dedicated for sidebar is the sidebar module position.

Your issue was caused by fact that you have a module on the mainbody module position what caused that the article was not displayed. I've applied small fix for your specific case to display the sidebar module even if the mainbody module is enabled instead of the article content.
