News2 and WordPress 4.8

Hi,

I would like to update my website to latest WordPress version.
Is there any problems with the theme?
As I can see there is over a year to updated.
Are you going to release any new theme version?

Hi,
News2 theme is based on widgets, but there's a problem in WordPress 4.8 with text widgets, because the basic text widget is replaced so if you are using scripts or html,style tags, there may be a problem.

I didn't notice other issues with News2 and WP 4.8, but please remember about the full backup before the update.

For now there's no need to update, except the above we didn't notice any issues with new WordPress version.
