Update, Changelog, Blog view

Hello,
Please allow me some questions.
1. Yesterday I downloaded the new update for refreshed news template. Unfortunatelly I couldn't install it. I tried the usual way (upload package File) and I got error (xml is missing ...something like that). I am sure that I uploaded the right file and NOT the quickstart.....Is there another way to update the template?
2. Where can I see a changelog for this update?
3. And one ...styling question please: how can i have this blog view as in the demo here? https://demo.gavick.com/joomla3/news/in ... /politics2
All I could do is this: https://demo.gavick.com/joomla3/news/in ... egory-blog
Are theese two diffirent?
