1) How do i re edit the size of the article image
2) how can i for example get rid of the weather module on the right side and add lets say "Breaking News" module which you can find on the main page. Im aware of how to remove the weather but not sure how to add the breaking news.

Hi,
This "Obama" image is from K2, it means that all images sizes are managed via K2 settings (check Parameters icon).
K2 item with "Obama" Image - Image tab //please click on it to see all//
Some info about How to use K2 - you will find on youtube and on project site and its forum http://getk2.org/community/index

It should be quite easy, you have to change Module Assignment, decide on which pages the module will be displayed.
Please read more about Joomla Modules, there are basic of joomla, that you'll find in every book (e-book). I assume that also in your native language you can find a book or dvd course about J!.
