Banner Ad Issues

Hi

When I first built this website (http://www.whatsthe411.com), I manually posted different banner ads in the sidebar module position and the same Amazon ad in Banner Top module position on every page.

The banner ads in the sidebar position load well every time, as did the Amazon ad.

Now that I want to place different banner ads in the Banner Top position, on different pages to align with the content on those pages, problems are arising.

These subsequent banner ads won’t load at all in the Banner Top module position, leaving the Banner Top position empty (see Fashion Front Row page: http://www.whatsthe411.com/fashion/the-front-row.html).

If a banner ad from the same company is in the sidebar module position, then instead of the new banner ad loading in the Banner Top module position as designated, it goes into the sidebar position underneath the other company ad.

The website is hosted by CloudAccess.net and their engineers looked at the problem since they provide Joomla technical support to their hosting clients. All the parameters appear to be accurate, so they suggested that I contact GavickPro because there might be a bug in the GavickPro Template.

Please advise.

I have checked your site, but I haven't found any ads. Above code isn't there also.
The only ad is GhospelRhytms, but it is added manually via custom html module.

You are right, the ad is not there, that is my complaint. The ad does not show up in the Banner Top position even though it is designated to be in that position on article pages in the Front Row category: http://www.whatsthe411.com/fashion/the-front-row.html

Please publish module on some other position and check whether it is visible or not. I suspect that this is problem with code than with template module position.

This situation happens with other ads as well. Whenever I try to post an ad in the Banner top module position, it either doesn't show or the entire page gets distorted.

This situation is very frustrating. As I mentioned in a previous post, CloudAccess, the Joomla as a service and web hosting company, investigated the problem including running a test and it received similar results.

I just tried to send you a private message; however the message seems to be stuck in the Outbox.

Will my message automatically move to the sent box or will I need to do something to make it move from the Outbox to the Sent box?

The message moves out of the send box when its recipient reads it.

The message is not in the sent box; it is in the Outbox.

So how can the recipient see the message if it doesn't leave the Outbox?

When he logs in to forum and checks messages - they will be delivered to him.

I have tested your site and as far as I use custom html module in bannertop module position, everthing seems to be working fine (so template renders it correctly).
I'm not a banner configuration specialist and was not able to show any banner in bannertop position while I was testing, but probably I've miss configured something.
For me it looks like a problem with Joomla banners module. The only thing that our template does is to show result of element rendering and it does it correctly (You can check it with publishing custom html module in bannertop position).
Perhaps there is some miss-configuration in your settings, bot to solve that, You would need a help of someone advanced in banners configuration. Perhaps asking on Joomla forum would give you more help.

What I could suggest - is to start with some simple html banner (it can contain <!-- TESTING --> if You don't want to mess with live site - then You can search for this text in sourcecode) - and figure out how to publish anything in bannertop. It it works, then go further, but still, if banners component renders 2 banners assigned to 2 different modules on the same module the problem lies within it .
