The main menu isn't working on the Magazine Child Theme

Hello,

On a completely fresh and untouched quickstart installation, when I activate the magazine child theme, the main menu completely disappears.

Adding the main menu as a custom menu widget doesn't work, because the submenus aren't functional.

You can see the site here: www.livebetter.us. I have the child theme (no changes) and added the main menu as a custom menu on the inset sidebar, to show that it isn't working.

Did you tried to assign the main menu in the menu manager?
