GK News Pro modification

Hello,

I am using the quickstart package of Magazine and would like to change the behavior of the GK News Pro widget on the homepage.

Right now if I am putting 4 categories slugs display by date, it will show four posts from the 4 categories. Is there a way to force a category for each of the four section so I have the latest news for category #1 in the first box, the latest news for category #2 in the second box, and so on?

Hi,

I'm sorry it's not possible, but you can use 4 separated GK NSP widgets (with one column and one row) and set one category slug(displayed by date) for each of the widgets.

I thought about that but how can i align them like the quickstart demo, 2 by 2.
If I put 4 widgets, I get 4 big squares, one below the other

I think, you can do it using CSS and widget_gk_nsp-(1..4) selectors. Try width and float CSS properties, if you'll have problems with that, provide me an URL with GK NSP widgets configured and I'll try to help you with that.
