Hello,
I successfully downloaded and installed gk_magazine_quickstart_J!25.zip.
My problem is the following:
.I LOGIN from the home page (REGISTER doesn’t work but I guess it’s normal)
.I go to Create Article from from the MY ACCOUNT button
.When I save my new article it goes to the Joomla default CCK tables instead of going to K2 tables
What am I missing?
I tried on different servers and always get the same problem…
I also tried with the 3.2 version, same issue.
Thanks for your help,
G

Hi,
are you talking about front-end?
Check redirections in Login module.

Thanks for your answer, yes I am talking about the front-end of the Magazine Quickstart package.
I am very new to Joomla, where do I find the Login module?
Is there any tech documents I must read before asking more silly questions?

By default those link should work - they are from template configuration

But you can add also new login module from Module Manager and publish on one of available from this layout positions.

sorry, but I want to be sure you want to edit default joomla articles or k2 items from front-end ?

p.s.
we have many guides here: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/

I don't think we're talking about the same thing.
I did a fresh install of Magazine_quickstart.
I go to the home page of that install.
I click on Image and login with the admin account I created during setup.
The Login button becomes Image.
I clic on it to show the user menu Image
Then I choose Create Article, enter some article title and content and hit save.
The article gets saved into the eemq5_content table in the database instead of the eemq5_k2_items table.
I want new articles to go the K2 table...
Hope that makes more sense,
Thanks a lot for your help,
G

Ohh, now I see.
It's because of items in Menu User from Menu Manager.
They have links for articles not K2 items.
So you have to change them/replace.
Check what K2 can offer you. It won't be so easy ;) I know because I did it 2 years ago.
