Lack of documentation for John Wordpress theme

Is there a step by step instruction manual for setting up the John template after it has been installed? I cannot find anything other than a series of screenshots with no explanations.

I installed the template by itself when Quickstart failed, but I want to duplicate the look, feel and functionality of the demo.

Is there a simple instruction manual?

John theme is based on widgets, so if you didn't install the quickstart you have to set all widgets manually. All widget settings are available here:

Please navigate to your Appearance -> Widgets section. Here you will be able to change the content, if you will have any issue with that, let me know which section you want to modify and I'll try to help.

Thank you Joshua, but I have no idea how to get what I want using these widgets.
I like the general look and feel of the demo and simply want to put my own content into the template/theme. Here are the specific things I want to do:
1) I want to change the text image that says John at the top of the homepage
2) My browser displays text above the URL window that says "John S. Portfolio Theme." How do I change that?
3) I first changed the "Hi, I am John" text in the top section of the home page by changing it on the "Header 1" blog entry, but that had no effect. Then I changed it in the widget and it worked. Can you please explain the relationship between widgets and blog entries?
4) I want to add a photo of my own in the top section that has John's photo in the demo. I added a featured photo in the "Header 1" blog entry, but it does not appear on the site.
5) I can change the titles of the different sections, but I do not know how to populate them with images and links.
6) For the blog section, I have an existing blog on a subdomain. Can this existing blog be linked or simply imported, or do blog entries have to be written in the Blog section of the main site?
7) The only place that social media icons show up is in the contact form. Can they be made to appear in the top nav bar as users scroll down?
8) I use Aweber for my newsletter and contact forms. I create the form in Aweber and then paste in the code to create the form. I am very worried about appearance. I want to keep the current clean look. Any advice or guidelines would be greatly appreciated.
9) I also use an irritating Aweber popup menu that tries to force people to sign up for our newsletter. This requires pasting code into the website. Can you tell me where and how to do this?

2) Please navigate to John -> Template Options -> SEO tab

I don't know why but the nice fire icon in the john theme wordpress is remplaced with a "e", the same for the cross on pictures it becomes "1"... any idea?

Regarding the comments - it will be the easiest way to use a plugin:

Yes, it works now.
Regarding the map - you have to upload your map image to your media library then (in media library) you can copy image URL and paste it to your text widget.

Portfolio section works now - you can add submenus (#paintings and #otherworks) to your #works menu item, each use of anchor link (#) should match to your frontpage sections from John -> Template Options -> Frontpage Menu - names of the links content

Yes, Quark Ecommerce is compatible with WooCommerce. You can install in on the same domain under i.e. http://armandlarose.com/shop - it's your choice.

I can't see the problem with the tags (i've just removed the tag from your example post).

You can disable ""Written by" "Published in" by enable/disable button when you are editing a post (Post additional params column on the right)

Add the following css code to remove dots, and "-" characters:

"Code: Select All" is not a part of css code It's a link for selecting the source code..

Regarding the Quark Ecommerce - unfortunately the quickstart package are not allowed on ThemeForest, but Quark installation is very easy, just follow this tutorial:
