John Template - Google Analytics not working

Hi there
I use GK_John template with Joomla 2.5, only as a one page website. Today I tried to activate google analytics, but unfortunately it's not working while just entering the ga-code into template-settings under "features".
I then copied the whole code from google and pasted it into gk_john_s/layouts/blocks/head.php but it doesn't make any difference. Source code looks good as well.
I was thinking about changing the template just for test reasons to ensure the issue comes with gk_john, but since the website is online I really can't do this

Sorry I was a bit too quick, now it's working with the whole code in the head.php file!
