Tabs not working in product view

I finally think I am close to recreating the template. My only problem is the tab function in the product detail page which is not working and throwing off the layout as seen in this link.

How do you get the tab function to be active?

I got the tab function to work by making it visible on all pages without assigning a position and then inserting it into a virtuemart page with the insert module function,
