Menu Item type is empty

I'm using the Game Quickstart template and I'm facing a little problem. With the pre-made menu from the quickstart, there are menu items that has no menu type and only a link ,such as "index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&layout=category&task=category&id=32" for listing k2 items. As a matter of fact I want this feature for some other menu items but I can't find a way to create a menu item with no type. Am I missing something ? Is there a way to achive this ?

Hi

Field cannot stay empty. It may only not display anything, but if You wish to determine the type by link alone than select "External URL" menu type.
