I'm pretty much a newbie to Wordpress and I wonder how to edit files like the .css. I am currently using Dreamweaver CS6 and Notepad ++. First, I went to Appearance, Theme, Editor but couldn't find override.css file. So I tried it through FTP on my server and computer as well and found the file, opened it yet nothing except:
/**
*
* -------------------------------------------
* Override
* -------------------------------------------
*
**/
/*
*
* 14. Override
*
*
------------------------------------ */
/* 14.1. Overrided elements
==================================== */
Also, I am aware that I have to Enable override.css file (which I did). How am I suppose to edit the file if there's really nothing on it? So, I need your help!

Hi mjamero,
This file is for overriden CSS rules, so you have to copy original selectors from other css files (template.css, extensions.css, wp.css etc.), paste these selectors to override.css and use own properties and values.
This way you can easily overwrite the template’s CSS rules without creating conflicts with existing CSS code, and you'll have no problem during future theme update.

Gavick team - frustrated to have just purchased Fest, with the advertising of this amazing quick start - installed exactly like your instructions, and home page does not have the animation or graphics of your demo... So then I go to your documentation (as referenced above) and the "configuration file" link in the WORDPRESS section is a link to JOOMLA config data (json) file, not XML.
Where is the XML config file for FEST? How do we get the home page to look just like the FEST home page on the demo site?
Thanks!

Hello,
The XML (WXR) file with content is available here: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/wor ... wxr-files/
But please remember that widgets should be configured manually, because there is no way to export widget settings an map it on the existing WordPress installation.

I have designed and purchased a lot of wordpress themes. Probably 75 or so. And I have to say that this is the most difficult set-up out there. Your xml does not work. The xml link that is on the themes documentation page is for Joomla (and you have been told this and it is still not fixed.)
Really disappointed in this theme and the way that it was configured.

Hi @chriswooten,
XML files are available here: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/wor ... wxr-files/ and work properly, JSON file is also for WordPress Fest theme (it's our theme/framework exported settings file).
Unfortunately, most elements in Fest theme is based on widgets, so you have to manually configure all widgets (widget settings - each widget is presented with the content and screenshot) or you can install
the quickstart package
http://www.gavick.com/documentation/wor ... tallation/
- in this case after installation you have website exactly as on our demo.
We are also working on better themes documentation.

The xml does not work. I have attempted to import it a few times. It just goes to a blank page afterwards with this in the URL wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress&step=1&_wpnonce=60e7fd9b46
At this point I am willing to PAY someone to get the demo content up and running on my site.

I can't get the XML file to work either.
I have over ten years' experience with Wordpress and I can't follow the configuration here if my life depended on it.
I'll persist for now, but this is disappointing and you really shouldn't be advertising a "quick" setup. It's anything but.

Hello @sitwi,
Quick setup is the quickstart package - to match the demo layout and content exactly, this is a full WordPress installation that installs WordPress, the theme, plugins, widgets and demo content to match our demo. If you cannot use the quickstart package then you will need to install the standalone theme package and manually place and configure the widgets according to our documentation. (because most elements in the Fest theme are based on widgets, so can't be imported with XML file).
Fest manual configuration (when you are not using the quickstart):
https://www.gavick.com/documentation/wo ... iguration/
Please check also this article:
https://www.gavick.com/documentation/wo ... t-package/
and quickstart installation tutorial - in this case is enough to follow the tutorial:
