Using Events template on a single page

I need to use the Events template on a single page. I am currently using another template for the whole site.
I have followed what most how to's have said ( such as http://www.cloudaccess.net/joomla-knowl ... a-3-0.html )
The events template on the single page is not displaying the styles as if you were to use the events template by itself. It appears as if the main template for the rest of the page trumps any styles from the new events template page.
Is there a way to make sure that the design and style of the Events template takes precedence over the main template?

Hi
I'm afraid I do not understand, but tell me the url to the page where You've used Events template and an example of some other page with site's default template and I'll see what's going on.

Hi
I think it works nicely, just add page class suffix to this page "frontpage top1-colorbg" (here example how to add it in our template: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... omla-pages).
Than problem will be with logo, but until You replace default logo with Your there is no way to tell what changes has to be done exactly.
