Hi,
First post here. Well, I noticed I don't have some of the useful icons of Font Awesome 4.2 in the version 3.2 ( fa-recycle) being one. So I have two options, either to upgrade or keep using version 3.2 add some of the icons from version 4 to it.
I heard that upgrading might break some functionalities and we should wait for template update. But template update doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon as it's already one year old.
I was wondering if anyone can help me to upgrade or add icons.
Thanks.

Usually we don't rewrite old templates to use new font-awesome. It would require to make a lot of changes in css/html/modules itself. You can tryu to do it on your own but it isn't easy task. One of the simplest reasons is change of font-awesome name classes.

Well... it will add another request for css and font files to server. From optimisation point of view it is not the best solution, yet without css/html knowledge it might be the only one.

You can also cut off old Font Awesome url, so it will not be loaded old & new each time.
But all this request customizations.

Thanks. As a solution, I have uploaded the new Font Awesome and overwritten the old font. I have also edited the CSS and now I am to use the new icons. I know that some of the icon names have been changed, but as along as the icon codes remain the same, there shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, now you have more icons which you can use using new class'es to insert into content.

Hi all,
Regarding the use of Awesome Icons, I would like to know how to insert the tag <i> through the WYSIWYG editor.
I'm afraid I cannot add that tag to the editor. Once I press "toggle editor" it just disappear.
Any help is more than welcome.
Regards.

Solved,
I know, it was a rookie question. Just use CodeMirror instead of TinyEditor.
Thanks anyway.

There is also another way - please disable tinyMCE editor (or any other visual editor) in global configuration (change editor to "editor - none"). They usually remove additional styles and html elements which damages our custom html code.
