Full-Width Slider

I'm trying to put a full-width slider on one of our pages but nothing I do seems to let it span across the full-width of the page. Regardless of the slider, is there someway I can get an image in the header widget area to scale across the full-width of the site?

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website, either here or via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it? Generally this theme doesn't allow to have full width sections, but maybe I'll figure something out.
