Have you done everything (I mean customization in right file) from guide?
If this slideshow module is too weak for you ... you can always use alternative module with allows you to use HTML tags without hardcoding. Joomla is like LEGO.

Remember in guide was example with "gk_creativity" folder and you have to choose image-show style which you're currently using !! not this same!

I'm using the bluap-style for the slideshow. If I use the Creativity_style it won't look quit good.

But now, I've got another problem.
When I switch on the multi language, then the path to the images get's a wrong result.
Example:
Real path to the picture:
/images/photos/xyz.jpg
and the link output from the Slideshow:
/de/images/photos/xyz.jpg -> that brings a 404 error
How can I fix that?

this is not connected with this topic.
Maybe if you will add full URL (path) into configuration.php it may help.
If not it request small changes in module code.
