Can't really see the grid for the site via ?tp=1 since its disabled on the demo. So excuse the stupid question...I want to know if I can on an article page mimic the homepage meaning. I would like to possibly have a YouTube video on the left then a write up on the right of it.. (2 column layout basically). Also in regards to the menu can the word menu be displayed as well? Thanks in advance

Everything is possible
So I'm sure it can be done. But just to be sure. Do You mean to make the same view on inner pages than You have on frontpage ? Every module position is accessible for frontpage or any other page. With one exception "mainbody" may be overrided by component in internal pages.
