gAVICK REcAPTCHA

After i have upgraded to 2.5 from 1.7, the gavick recaptcha plugin doesn't work (i don't see it in the drop down menu). The joomla captcha plugin on the other hand doesn't show up in the contact form. Any ideas?

Sure just uninstall GK_captcha plugin, you don't need them.
Joomla 2.5 have it's own captcha system. Use it. You will find it in Plugin Manager.

Joomla 2.5.16 default Captcha - ReCaptcha

Remember to fill all input fields (key) and enable plugin!

Than in Contact Manager --> Options --> Form (tab) --> Allow captcha.... - choose ReCaptcha and Save settings

Hi,

Google changed the reCaptcha API which results in a broken recaptcha plugin in Joomla. This issue do not be fixed in this moments. To resolve this issue do edit the file "recaptcha.php" in folder (plugins/captcha/recaptcha/). Please, check following link for correct attributes by Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.xx.

as you can seen , this is fault of Google & Joomla update time - not ours
