blog layout on home page

Maybe im having a blonde moment or overlooking something. What im trying to do is have the blig style layout on the home page.

Ive tried the following changed the default page in the main menu which works but keeps the link up top also for blog. And change menu type for home for blog or K2 catagories but that doesnt change the layout.

All I want is the main home page to list my articles in a blog layout including the feature games/newest games/popular games slider on home page.

Please make sure that there mainbody is enabled on your frontpage, please look at template settings at this area >> http://d.pr/i/NOnZ and choose mainbody before component option.
