Why the Quay template is different from other?

First, sorry for my english

in second istance, i don't understand why Gavick team don't convert Quay to J1.6, porting Quay to the T3 framework, make Quay JS2.2 compatible

do you think to convert Quay in the same way that's you are doing for all other template ?
