They often have bugs, and upgrades are messy. I've a subscription there too which I'm dropping.

Lucky you. Last time I needed them, I had to provide my own solution because I was in a hurry. They have good templates, but I consider their framework a bit messy.

Great Magento themes too... but as for support :whistle:

What's up with the Template I paid for. Is it already released?
When will you release the next version of Quay which can be used under Joomla 1.7

If you go to our update server page you will find that Quay J!1.5 was updated

I'm sorry but for J!1.7 version there's no estimate date.

We apologize for the delay, but this template needed some important adjustments.
Also because it's August and some of us are on vacations (like me)

Please read update description:

JomSocial theme updated to 2.2.4.
News Show Pro GK4 support (with normal mode template style)
GK JS Members updated
Template style minor fixes.
Modules Suffixs minor fixes on users and bottom wrap.
Included template parameters with more friendly interface.

That would be great.

I've seen that the installation guide is almost 2 years old - who cares.
But an updated quickinstaller would really make sense. Wouldn't it?

Yes you are right when you say that documentation that comes with the package is old, but you have the new online documentation on http://wiki.gavick.com/

Naturally the quickstart is updated with last version

What it doesn't have is JomSocial installed because you have to buy it on their owners.
After you install JomSocial, go to JS templates and set "gk_style" as default one.

Still on 1.5.23 not working I install! and no working! I copy quick start to server and after install i see Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in /homez.9/mwpolska/www/templates/gk_quay/layouts/GKTemplate.php on line 850

Deprecated is really not an error. Please try to set showing error level to none in joomla global configuration for server.

The error showing level can also be changed in php.ini

I do not understand why You are having so many problems. I've sold ovr ten sites on Quay and 4 sites on Bussines till now. Every page with some heavy customizations and had no problems at all ;/
