Multi-language site with Joomla 2.5

Hello! I`m trying to create multi-language site based on financial business template. The problem is that I don`t know how to translate main menu. I switched on language filter, created switcher on my site, made a menu with empty point and marked it as main page, created two main menu in Russian and in English and marked in both of them main page for Russian and English respectively. But when switch languages, only menu with id number 1 appears in the correct place; the other menu appears beneath in a separate module. How to solve this problem?
