typography and layout question boutique

Hello, i am quite new with joomla...I want to use the boutique template and installed the 3 zip files.


I have 3 questions:

1. Till now i cant get the same typography as shown in the boutiqye demo: See the attachement bouttemp.jpg

2. how can i activate the images slide modules as shown in the boutique demo? See the attachement bouttemp.jpg

3. is it possible to place the menu beside the logo?

there you will find info also about typography settings (in template settings)

You have to look at point (8) from guide,
it means install Image Show GK4 module or any other SlideShow module
and you have to publish it on Module position named: header1
and use Module suffix: clear
and of course add slides with images inside module

3. is it possible to place the menu beside the logo?

Yes, but it request CSS customization (CSS Skills or Ask for it using PM, because this is not a typical support)

Two question about the menu:

1. how can i edit the the space between the rules (make it less)
2. whtas the reason tha rule 2 and 3 doesnt start at the same poin at the left side (as rule 1)

despite i installed all three boutique zip files i cant find the show gk 4 module by modules. Therefore i tried to install
gk_boutique_quickstart_J!3.zip
again but now i got a failure message: 1242 - Subquery returns more than 1 row SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_update_sites_extensions` (`update_site_id`, `extension_id`) VALUES ((SELECT `update_site_id` FROM `jos_update_sites` WHERE `name` = 'Joomla! Update Component Update Site'), (SELECT `extension_id` FROM `jos_extensions` WHERE `name` = 'com_joomlaupdate'));


any idea how i can install the gk4 image module?

in element inspector in the browser i see by the logo (see attachement):

Can i edit the measuremnets "860px 63px"??

You can override our styles with your css code also with different value.

please read them 2x and you will understand how it works and how to customize.

Therefore i tried to install gk_boutique_quickstart_J!3.zip

You can not install quickstart from Joomla , why because it include Joomla itself.

Okay, the quickstart is totally clear.

Then there is one important question that remains:
The ImageGK4 module, can i only use this module by an complete new joomla isntallation with the quickstart or can i also install this image GK4 in seperately from the unzipped files (of the quickstart zip)?

Did you used Joomla before?
maybe WP experience?

So all modules are independent elements (blocks), so you can use them on any template or joomla installation (only J! version must be this same).
I suggest to buy book(s) about J!3.x it will really help you learn basics: https://www.packtpub.com/all/?search=joomla%203

yes i have build a few joomla sites. SOme with free templates and one with an bought template.
Never had any problems...

THe quickstartpage package is now installed and after click on the preview of the site i have got an complete white window? ?

It must be server settings issue.
I saw it before.
Try this:

1) Disable all NSP modules - and check again
2) Enable Showing errors into Maximum - and check what error message you will see.

I see theres a diiference betrween chrom and interent exploere:

CHrome jus a white screen
Internet explorer: failure message: HTTP 500

info after editing Error Reporting to "maximum":

strange, I see those error first in my life.
Maybe try to reinstall template, just install template only for J3.

I did the (re) install of joomla 3 only.
NOw i have got a list of warnings, but beneath these warnings i see the template? See screenshots attached.

but all those errors don't have url from our template.
Please change template to beez3 or protostar and tell me if you'll see any errors.

When i change the template to bees ive got only a few error lines:

Did you tried to reinstall Joomla 3.x from update package?
But in my option it's problem with server settings.
