Layout list categories k2 with images

I am Italian and i don't speak english

I have a web site with template music

I would like to create a box on the homepage where you see the categories k2, with a preview image

If You would like to have a layout from L2 category page on frontpage than You need to use a News Show Pro module. There is one in this place already, so just some reconfiguration will be needed to show elements in different locations.

You can also try to set a K2 category layout for this page and in template configuration set to display a content instead of mainbody. Also disable all modules published in mainbody on homepage.

I used module News Show Pro GK4

I go in Data Source --> K2 Categories and select K2 Categories, but in my home view the articles of categories, i would view only the name of category (NO ARTICLE)

Can i help me?

No it's not a bug. News Show module is as it's name says a module to display articles and not categories. It simply was not designed to do that. You need to use a different module for that.

Hi teitbite, I am looking for a similar solution like the OP. I had posted another topic on this earlier today under Game section and only now I found this topic here (REF: https://www.gavick.com/forums/game-joom ... 36359.html ). When you said that we need to use a different module to display the categories (like NSP does to list articles), is there any module that does this. I have been searching JED inside and out as well as google and I still havent found one. How can I list the categories like the OP had shown in the screenshot i.e with Image and Category title underneath? Can you help me please?

Sorry, but I have no idea. never had to use one. I've googled this link http://www.joomlaxtc.com/support/joomla ... egory-wall with a documentation to such extention, but I cannot see a link to download anywhere maybe You'll have more luck.

Thanks for trying teitbite. I found that too in Google and it didnt go anywhere. I searched in JED and the extensions were for displaying articles and not sub-categories. Now I am reading to see if come_content's Template override is the way to go about it. Not sure still... but reading the docs and tutorials online. Thanks again for replying. Much appreciated!

com_content is for regular joomla articles, but You can use com_k2 component in category layout when subcategories are set to be seen. This may not be possible to reposition away from mainbody, but this will work.
