captcha not showing in registration popup

Hi,
the captcha is not showing in the register popup therefore it fails everytime and drops to the register form where captcha is shown and works.
How can I fix this, is there a setting I have missed?

Did you enable captcha in global Joomla! settings and also in User settings ? Please look at this article >> http://www.gavick.com/documentation/general-questions/how-to-use-recaptcha/
