Facebook connect - username and password do not match or you do not...

Hey,

have a little problem with Facebook connect..
Authentication seems to work but after that I get an error message:
"Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet."

Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

Usually, it's because Joomla doesn't allow Facebook sign in when you're system administrator.

Try adding a username in Joomla and make it Super User and change your's to Publisher.

Thanks for the reply,

unfortunately that's not the case. I tried it. Still says that username and.. etc.
Firefox tries to save personal data with the username 'Facebook' when I log in with FB.. so it seems like for some reason my site figures that I'm trying to log in with the username Facebook... what's that all about...

Well, have you tried on Chrome for instance?

I suppose you added the proper API keys to the template, haven't you?

have you enabled Plugin "Authentication - Facebook" ?

I`m having the same problem, everything seems to be fine except that it says "Please inform a valid email address" when I use the facebook login.
