I uploaded apphone template to a joomla server, but the homepage does not seem to contain anything (attachment). Do I need to upload a separate package in order to have panels that are in the demo?

I uploaded the files to the server. This has overriden my template. I did not do anything with the database, as we already have content in there. However, main page is still blank. I presume that the reason for this is database.
Is there a way to keep my database content and still have the main page as on your demo?

What files did you upload and override ?

I simply installed the theme as with your instruction. I never removed the old theme. It has put the new theme to the same folder on server, as the old theme was. Are you saying that some of the files were not overwritten?

I guess I only installed the template. The link you gave is a prettly large material to read. Can you tell me which section of this document applies to my case?

This link is a tutroail how install quickstart package. You can't install it on exisitng joomla installation because it has joomla installation itself. If you don't have any data and you are able to delete current joomla please go throught this tutorial and install quickstart. You will achieve same effect as our demo.

The problem is that I already have joomla installed and I have the data in.
I would really like not to loose the data.
Can you give me an instruction on how to achieve the result I want?
Seems like I'm a bit disappointed with how you implemented this. In general, what I'm changing is 'a theme', right? In theory, after a week I may be tempted to try another template. Are you saying that to try out a different template I need to get rid of all of my data each time? That's insanity.

The best solution in your case is install quickstart of our template you that want on localhost. Try XAMPP tool. Then you will need to compare settings from it and set same in your joomla website where you have data. But you have to remember that you will need to install some plugins and extensions separately. Plugins you will find in rest_files package. Just donwload it and unzip. You will find them in plugins folder. Modules you can download from our website.

So from my side the status is.
If I want to start from scratch with your template - then I have an instruction.
If I already have a database content - then there is no instruction.
Can you provide a detailed instruction for the second case that is of similar quality to the one in the first case?

I'm having the same issue as the one who asked the question.
The funny part is that the moderator keeps answering the same thing over and over again without addressing the question itself!
To help the moderator understand it better, the asker is saying : to remain the content on his/her website without having to remove the whole Joomla site! And there the moderator is answering the same thing over and over again to do the quickstart installation, which is so not helpful at all!
Why is moderator keep giving the same instruction over and over again?!

@dominikz I told you but I try once again. In your case you can do this in two ways.
FIRST
1. Go to http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/appphon ... variations here you will see that New Show Pro GK4 and Tabs GK5 are used in this template.
2. Download those modules from https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... sions.html
3. Install them and plugins which you will find in rest_files.zip package on your joomla site. You need to download it and unzip.
4. Read about settings possibilities of our modules on http://www.gavick.com/documentation/ and about suffixes used in template on http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/appphon ... variations and try set modules.
But there is fastest way which I told you:
SECOND
1. Download and install XAMPP tools on your computer http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html It is tool which include apache serwer, php and mysql inside.
2. Install quickstart package at your computer (on localhost).
3. Check which modules are used.
4. Download those modules from https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... sions.html
5. Install them and plugins which you will find in rest_files.zip package on your joomla site. You need to download it and unzip.
6. Then check settings modules from quickstart and set modules on your website in exactly same way. Which is faster in my opinion.

> Why is moderator keep giving the same instruction over and over again?!
Thank you very much for your support. I appreciate the fact that I'm not the only one spotting that I'm facing the wall here!
Gavick! Since we are paying customers, can you take our questions seriously?
As of moderator's FIRST and SECOND approach. I already stated that you have a very nice instruction for setting up from a website based on this template from scratch - also know and a quickstart package. However, you have to realize that most of us (customers) are people that have been running their websites for quite some time and now want to
MIGRATE
I would be really pleased, if Gavick understood that business aren't born today and now, but they last for a few years. That is exactly the status of my business. The only reason why I'm paying for those Joomla templates, is because I expect professionals to guide me. And here, I encounter instructions that are just too brief and not self-explanatory at all:
Gavick, you have to admit, that this is not a manual, but a crappy response with a roadmap of how I should EXPERIMENT on this. I don't need that. If I wanted to waste time for development and experiments I would have probably started developing my own template - the thing that I very much wanted to avoid.
So again and for the very last time. I'm asking you to provide a detailed instruction with screenshots on MIGRATING to Apphone template. I am able to wait for this instruction for a week if that's what it takes. But please don't respond on this forum to my posts, unless you are able to provide such manual. Otherwise, I'll be taking it officially on company level by trying to prove that the support is neglecting the customer. As a result I'll request the return of participation fee, as the product I bought is faulty. You'll be then on a very good way to loosing your customer.
