Hello
i'm working localhost on new website based on J2.5 with appsite template.
i encountered some problems with accentued letters (language is french) i don't know why but only one letter is not well displayed this is " à " .

i've seen on google a similar problem related on SPIP website, the guy found that syntax of UTF-8 was written in CAPS instead of lower utf-8.

i don't know if it could be the same problem with me but where can i verify (in which file) the syntax of utf-8 ? in default file template i didn't find a line with encodage type. Where this parameter is hidden in joomla?

If you have any other good idea about my problem, i'll be happy to read it.

Thank's for your help,
Best regards,

Hi

Your problem might come from the font that you have on font selectors.
If you are using squirrel font kit, this might not support your language encode character.
So you need to be sure that it does.
Check it on this website.

Hello,
I've been in admin template font item to check which font is used, squirrel was enabled for header and other parts body was in arial font.

i change squirrel to standard verdana font and test, frontend stay the same, so i don't think my problem is coming from font but my fisrt idea was to check utf-8 parameter.

But to check this i didn't found by myself the file where i can found meta content about charset used. do you know which one it is?

All other ideas are welcome.
Thanks
