As I create a template inside another template?

For example at home I wish you were in the same way it is, but clicking on the page adventure I would like to create a category that is where our adventure is contained only issues related to adventure, as I lay such a stripe black on top? I'll have to redo the whole layout?

I'd like to create a new template, but only to a category, just changing some details of the existing template. For example:
An area of the site that only talk about cars ... so I'll need a showcase and a page from within .... So I could use the menus and change the background for example only where the information will appear and so on ... That's the idea!

Hi,

It's difficult for me to get your idea because I haven't seen your site yet, if possible please give me a link and some screenshot with annotations to describe your idea visually then I will try to help further.

Thanks,

Grand Friend,

See example ; http://www.fesrad.com/bene_asssoci.html

I took the same layout, but modified the body of the message and kept the menu.

See :
" Positions style override
Last but not least from overriding options is ‘Positions style override’. As we remember from the article about Gavern Framework Layouts, styles of particular module positions are defined in $GK_TEMPLATE_MODULE_STYLES table. Thanks to this list, instead of modifying module positions styles manually, a user may change a module position style from an administrative panel very easily (it is extremely useful when we have a few styles of the same template used for subpages chosen).
Below, there is an example where for user1 and user2 positions “none” style is set: "

I want to be able to enter another page style to a new category? How do I do this? Png files in which I have to have? and how do I send to the site? And how do I define a new style to the matter that I want to insert?

Hi

I'm not sure if it's possible with regular joomla article, but with K2 You can create a new template just by copying and renaming folder default in /html/com_k2.

For regular articles I was always using page class suffixes to set changes to css with this.

And how would this be? I modify the html layout for k2 or I will work with css? Have any examples?

Hi

Basicaly if You have a /com_k2 folder with files inside template directory this means that K2 template already has been rewritten with this files. You can duplicate default folder and call it for example "style1". Than in K2 category settings You can choose to use style1 template instead of default.

In for example file prepared for item view You will add a class to main layer, eg. " style1_tmp" than in css files for template (I advice to use override.css) You can customize this template style by adding classes to change it's look:

Code: Select all
.style1_tmp h1 {
font-size: 220%;
color #000000;
}
