Virtuemart product detail word limit...

Hi! I have just purschached yourShop incredible template 2 days ago and I´m really really happy! but I´m having troubles with product description word or characters limit, I mean, I add a new product and in product description I insert a long text over 2000 words and when I save a product, it cuts me a text more or less in 1690 words and I need more because it´s a photo camera store and I need to inser caracteristics and technical information. I have had working good in my previous and still working untill I fisish a new web with virtuemart 1.19 and no problem... could be because your template virtuemart template? Thank you.

About what VM version you are talking about ?

About 2.0 that comes with the template an with quicstart.

Please try rename productdetails template overrided in html folder. You will check if it changes with default view adn if it is related with our template.

How to do this...? how rename productdetails template overrided in html folder? I never have seen something like this... I´m scared because I can´t insert new product and I´m losting a lot of time... I have to repair it soon... Thank you for your help.

just rename templates/gk_yourshop/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/default.php and refresh page. If you do this you will see default vm productdetails view.

Change file name or move somewhere else.

Done it but not luck. The problem isn´t in frontend when you are in product detail, the problem is in the backend, in virtuemart when you add more text than 1690 characters more or less words it enters but when you save, it cuts and in the backend you can see how it has cut more than 1690 character and in the frontend this text don´t appear and move chart quantity and options menu, but the problem comes from virtuemart backend add product, product information large text. Like virtuemart don´t accept more than 1690 or 1600 characters, I have been looking over Google a sollution but nothing... why could it be?

Probably before vm fuction add text to database cuts it. Try ask on vm support community.
