Problems creating index splash page

Hi, I've added a few index pages to websites before, but in this case I seem to be unable to add a fix to the home URL
my page is under construction at www.chucktartworks.com

anyone have a specific fix that works with this template? the joomla.org (edting the helper.php file)fixes seem to not apply

so 59 views and nobody has created a spalsh page intro? who can help with successfully creating this? on Linux server default.htm, takes presidence over index.htm..

I used default to open the start page, you click in, then the home link takes you back to default.htm, nothing I see has worked yet..anyone? anyone?

Can You please explain to me what You are trying to achive ?

I am trying to make the "home" link default to index.php instead of default.htm
on a linux server setting like godaddy.com you can make the splash page pop by using default.htm first, then the link I have takes you to index.php and should remain there and only cycle back to index.php, however it continues to go to default.htm and if I retitle the html page index.htm it will not pop up at all because on linux server index.php takes presedence over index.htm

Try mamby change index.php name and use the index.php file for splash page reffering to the file of the page You have change the name to.
