Removing Main Navigation Menu on Postnote Template

I would like to remove the Main Navigation Menu from the Postnote Template. I looked to see if it was a module I could disable but it appears to be coded into the index.php file. I tried deleting the code, but that resulted in a blank page. Is there a simple solution that I am missing?

Website is local, no URL as example.

I am using "myStore" template.

I too want the menu gone, but only on the first page. Using the first page is a "splash" page with products.

Would like for the menu to be accessible on every page OTHER than that frontpage index. Since it is not a module, I am unable to specify exactly where it is.

Any way this is possible? Thanks.

Use a diffent copy of mystore template for frontpage only.
