Missing Module Positions -"footer" + "footer_nav"

hi there,

i want to place a custom html module in the "footer_nav" position but it does not appear in the drop down "position" menu on the module edit page. tried typing in but does not work.

how do I use this module position?

hmm i see it in my postnote template...

it's named fotnav.
