I could not upload quickstart using install routine in Joomla so I did it manually using an FTP program. Everything copied and the installation was successful but my site does not look like the one on your website. Did I do something wrong? What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks.

Hei

Quickstart also installs the database with Gavick sample info and maybe some file permission changes. Why did Your quickstart fail? I remember a few versions back the Joomla installer was buggy, only way You could succeed was to choose the default installer language, i think it was en-us.

Server returned error: Timed out about half way through. Probably a GoDaddy limit on upload time? When I look through the quickstart file I don't see a database. Can it be installed without using Joomla install? Would quickstart work better with a clean install of Joomla? Where would I go to change the installer default language? Thanks for you reply.

Hi

Quickstart already got joomla and all components installed. You just need to copy it on the server and run joomla instalation from the quickstart package.
