K2 Images don't show up

Hello Gavick,

When i'm uploading an image to an K2 article, is does not show up on the frontpage, the old (previous) image is stil there.

I first deleted the old image, saved, then upload an new images, or browesed the server for an image, but no luck.

Did you clean your cache after making the changes and before viewing the refreshed page? That is the only reason I can think of that the (now-deleted) old image is still showing for you.

I know it's a pain to have to save what you are working on (instead of "apply") to leave to go clean your cache every time you make a change, so that is why I use this handy (FREE) little Joomla! addon: Cache Cleaner. It saves me loads of time when I'm making changes to either an article or perhaps tweaking the css files... it shows up in the admin area as a link (to the right of "logout") and all you have to do is click the link and it doesn't take you off of the page you are working on.

You might need to clear your browser cache too... and don't forget that in FF, if you hit Ctrl+F5, it reloads the page and clears the cache for that page without logging you out!

I see also the /media/k2/src and /media/k2/cache staying empty

it sounds like a permission problem . have you write access to the folder and subfolders of : /media/k2/ . permissions should be 755...

In the demo-template....the pic balck/white......is that from K2.....and how do u make it...? Can´t I use "Modules", maing this.... ?

My evening has been spent trying to solve this very same issue, but now I have to give up! Why is it so difficult to manage K2 images?!!

I am wondering why the demo pictures keep reappearing on my page over and over again! I have deleted the pictures and uploaded a new one which is showing just fine inside the actual item...but on the frontpage the old demo pictures simply cannot be removed!

If I empty my cache in my ftp client then the demo picture will in fact disappear, but so will my newly uploaded picture!

The image from K2 article that is showing on frontpage is been displayed by News Show Pro GK4 module. This version supports now K2 articles and have the ability to generate thumbnails, but it's completely necessary to have cache directory on this module with full permissions (777) to clean and regenerate new thumbnails.

So check permissions on this directory: ../modules/mod_news_pro_gk4/cache/

Thank you for the above hint...it worked like a charm! I am now almost getting to the end result but have two questions left.

1) Is it possible to decrease the height of the menu bar in the top? I feel like it looks a bit "cheap" as it is now?

2) Is there a way to permanently decrease the size of the layout. I am not talking about using the tool button and making the columns less wide or making the letters smaller. Instead I would like to get the same effect as if I go to my browser menu and in "view" choose zoom out....so that everything becomes smaller and much easier to oversee. Is it somehow possible?
