can't get item in cart to match with virtuemart cart

I can't seem to figure out how to get the "(0 items)" to update when a user add an item to the cart.
It displays correctly in virtueMart cart but not in the "item" cart module position.

I'm new to joomla! so I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

Hi

Mystore and Yourshop are using VM and K2Store. Please check what system are You using. VM cart will not show adding K2 products and vice versa.
