What's the best way to update to a newer version?

Hello,

I'm curious about the best way to update my MyStore 2.0.10 Version to 2.0.14.

I downloaded the last version, but when I try to install via Joomla an error occurs, that there is already an mystore template installed in the particular folder.

Do I have to deinstall the template first and reinstall again? Than I have to note all my settiings and set them again, don't I? Isn't there an easier methode? Maybe through FTP?

updates can't be updated from within joomla. you will have to overwrite the files for the update to work... be aware that all customisations to css/core files will be lost . so backup before

if you just overwrite the files from the tar.gz file you won't loose all your settings etc. only if you made changes to the css/core files.

your site is in offline mode. but i guess you made some changes to the logo code in template.css which you just have overwritten...
