Show Cart or Virtuemart menu items redirect Home page?

Hi,

1. I add products into shopping cart and in ajax popup select "Continue Shopping"
2. After i have navigate into other page (example home page)and click VM cart module "Show Cart"
3. It will redirect me back to my home page?
address that is in addressbar: cindex.php?page=shop.cart&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

Also Virtuemart menu item (Account, My Orders...) will do same?

-- Are these problems something to do with: &Itemid=1
All links are working, if there is no Itemid???


I hope you can solve this, so I can publish this site next week.

If anyone else have this kind of problem, it is because you don't have Virtuemart mainpage in your menu.

I but Virtuemart front page into my menu, and now it works good.

I don't know how to explain it better.

In Joomla administrator "Menus" make a new menu item "Virtuemart" (don't give any specific parameters). That should do it

ok, i tried that how, but didnt really make any difference for my problem. I created a new menu, and added a new menu item linked to virtuemart, but nothing really changed..

I renamed the vm theme default-orig on server prior to uploading the gk supplied one..... when defaulting back to default-orig in vm settings the check out works fine.

the GK VM theme must be mising coding that vm needs????

I uploaded the original "check out folder" to the gk vm theme .. components/com_virtuemart/themes/default/templates and it seems to work now.

could you explain in details what you did? I still have this problem and i dont know what to do.. cheers

Could you tell me what folder i need to overwrite? Dont want to loose the products i have set up till now..

I tried replacing the /default/templates folder but nothing changed, the problem is still there..

I think that this problem is connected with VM working on frontpage's component page only. Please enable "Show mainbody on frontpage" in template configuration and let me know if it worked.

I just checked the template configurations and its already enabled. If you want, i can create a test account for you so that u see what happens on the live site...?

I just tried to create a new account and the message i got was "unable to establish the mail function" (directly translated from my language;) ). I start to feel that the virtuemart is not properly integrated in the system..?? Since sign up and shopping carts functions dont work properly i mean.

I have to mention that I have been getting a lot of the same problem now, but from different place on the site. Different actions, always related to virtuemart, send me the frontpage instead of where im supposed to go. The breadcrumbs however, show where i was supposed to go. So it still says "cart" or "product something" in the breadcrumbs, but the front page is showing..
Im just getting more and more lost on this one..
