Hello, typically with login modules in Joomla! you can select to encrypt the login and register forms with SSL in the module parameters.

I am required by new laws to ensure these forms are encrypted on my ecommerce site but am not immedietely sure the best way to do so using templates like gk_mystore which hard code the register and login modules into the module position so there is no module parameters to adjust within the J! module manager.

How can I ensure that these two forms use the https protocol in the gk_mystore template?

I'm eager to remedy this as we now get charged monthly by our payment gateway for not meeting all new regulations in the USA.

Cheers,

Register and login modules in the MyStore templates isn't hard-coded - it's the modules placed on login/register positions. If you want you can place on these positions modules with support for SSL connections.

Thanks dziudek. I checked both these and SSL is enabled in my login modules, however this didn't seem to satisfy the McAfee scan so I though perhaps there was something I was missing with com_user.

As for the gk_register modules there aren't any SSL enabling options in the parameters. Can I force them?

probably you will have to force them in mod_gk_register, because it is only our simple module to show registration form and it hasn't any options for it.
