How to change template name?

I want to change mystore's template name.
what kind of file should I revise?any good steps?

find the file templateDetails.xml which is located at templates/gk_mystore
and change the name <name>gk_mystore</name> to your name...

sure,I did that.
but,after change that,the top slideshow module shows white blank.

Is there another file should to be fix ?

I just changed the name locally and it didn't caused me any problems... are you using the latest version?

I don't think that the problem lies in the name change!

I use the mystore v1.1.0 ver.
but,the top blank appears again after changing the template name.

When do you change the template name?before new installation or after?

By the way...How to change the template folder name and template both?
If I rename the template name in templateDetails.xml only,the template backend will appear the "JFolder::files: Path is not a folder" error message.
(I mean not to change the template's folder name at the same time)

so,the conclusion is that we can't rename the template's folder name?

what happens?

Try to zip the my_store template files then just rename the .zip with your new name that you want e.g mytemplate.zip
upload it just like you would upload a template
then go to languageen-GB find the name en-GB.tpl_gk_mystore.ini copy it or rename it to en-GB.tpl_mytemplate.ini if your template name is mytemplate
also don't forget to change the details in .xml file

Moreover you should ask for a permission from gavick if you can do this

you forgot to rename or copy and rename the en-GB.tpl_gk_mystore.ini
to your new template name....
this file is located in languageen-GBen-GB.tpl_gk_mystore.ini
