GK3 Slidshow on homepage linked to Article?

How do I use GK3 Slideshow to link directly to an article?

Situation:
1) I want to keep my Virtuamart store/cart for use in the future, but really need to have something like GK3 Slideshow that will allow me to link directly to articles of my choice.

I know this subject has been discussed in this forum, but with no clear solutions for novice members like me.

Please share ideas. Thank you.

The "Template Style" Image Show module prepared for MyStore only works with VM Products and not with joomla articles.
If you want to use with article, the easier way is to choose "Module style" as "Image with Thumbnails block", but it will not the same style.
Check settings on the text file available on PhotoSlide GK3 package.

I think a major part of my confusion is understanding the difference between GK3 Image Show and Photoslide GK3.

I changed GK3 Image Show (in modules) to reflect the Image with thumbnails block (module style), but Im not sure where to place my images (do i use GK3 Slideshow for this?) considering GK3 Image Show slide group is set for header?

Note after doing some browsing on demo.gavick.com I would like to achieve the image show as diplayed in the Corporate 2 Demo.

Would it be easier to uninstall some modules, etc in MyStore (without affecting the VM/Cart?) and install some other extension (which?) back in to MyStore?

to reflect the one from corporate 2 you will need photoslide and image show . they work together. I would install the quickstart of corporate2 on a different www and then take a look on how it's set up .

If you want to achieve Image Show version used on Corporate 2 template, you need to analyse this files:

../templates/gk_corporate2/html/mod_gk_image_show/

Inside this files, you need to change path's to javascript file.

../templates/gk_corporate2/js/gk_image_show.js

You need to use css classes set to Image Show module on gk_stuff.css and style?.css files and also the respective images.

To understand what means Template Style, this means that some files (php, js, etc) are replaced by the ones set on template directory and not from the module itself.
