Deprecated

Hi,

I installed the NewsWorld on XAMPP and that i selected the Gk Twn as the default template. I only see

Deprecated: Function eregi() is deprecated in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/project_joomla/templates/gk_twn/layouts/GKTemplate.php on line 1016

How can i fix this.

Hi

You probably are using XAMPP 1.7.2 or 1.7.3 with PHP 5.3.1 and with old joomla version (not supported by PHP 5.3)

How to fix?
Try to update joomla to latest version or use XAMPP 1.7.1 version.

ops... i can't find it also.
i'm sorry but i don't have mac os. it seams not.

Did you try to update joomla? Because if i recall well, 1.5.18 version already support PHP 5.3. In fact, i think since 1.5.15 version joomla is compatible with PHP 5.3

that's already...I've also updated joomla to the lastest version which is the 1.5.18 version.....still with the error message. There are at least 100 same error messages when i select the gk twn template as default.

I think it's some lack of version in something too. But I do not know. I'm using Mac OS X but with the server options build in, so cannot tell anything about XAMPP on this server. Unfortunately I'm wandering what can be used this for.
