VM and K2Store - how it works?

Did I understand right, that with K2 Store we place all products under K2 component, not in VM catalogue? And all settings how the product page looks like also should be set up in K2?
Than why do we need VM there?

Virtuemart and K2Store are two completely different e-commerce components and they don't have any relationship between them. You can use one or even the two on same website. It's user choice. It's your choice

If you want to use VM and make use also of the features that K2 provides, there's a specific component that makes the "bridge" between these to components. I'm referring to K2Mart developed by the same K2 team.

Great thank you for your answer. But I am referring to your template MyStore, where both components are installed and I cannot figure it out yet which are used in your demo content, so my content (my shop) looks the same way and functions the same way. Please, advise.

Mostly MyStore uses VirtueMart Component.
So if you like the theme, i recommend VM.

Unfortunately, the subcategory page setup looks different on my website to compare with MyStore demo. How to set up the subcategory page, so each product will be shown as a list: one under another, row under row, when each item shown in one row this way:
image on the left and on the right description and etc.
